A sneaky way I'm staying inspired this season

How are you Reader?

I don't know about where you are, but where we live here in the high desert of New Mexico, days are intensely bright and short during this time of year. And nights are sooo dark! I feel old saying I don't like driving at night anymore, then around 5-5:30 I am frantically trying to get home because the sun is going down.

I'm starting my "eccentric old lady" phase rather young, but here we are.

An evening at home in winter is prime stitching time for me. If I'm willing to do it. I used to look at this evening stitching time as an extension of my work day in the studio, and if I was feeling lazy I didn't want to do it so much. But this year I'm treating that time as a more creative play time. To help me stay "creatively curious". And this mental shift has really inspired me!

I've tried doing Ann Wood's 100 day stitch book exercise in year's past with mixed results. This year, I'm trying it again, but staying very true to the idea of stitching for 15 minutes a day, only allowing myself to occasionally go longer. And the photo above is the result. 6 "pages" of stitching, the longest I've gone with this challenge. I'm excited to see where it goes. And man, I love a book of stitches!

I'm currently setting up our newest blocks for the Savannah BOM, inside the Quilt As Desired membership. I think I say it every time, but this one might be my favorite! Doors are opening soon if you want to join us, so stay tuned!

P.S.- I shared this in my IG stories, but we are eating Crunchy Roll Bowls at least once a week these days. So. Dang. Good!
